Who Can Apply:
- Senior year of high school is a time of stress, excitement, decision-making, and many life changes as one prepares for adulthood.
- This time can be overwhelming for any student, but especially for students in foster care who are getting close to aging out of state care. Being thrust into adulthood at such a young age with very little support system to fall back on can be daunting and can make it difficult to think about or pay for college.
- This scholarship seeks to uplift and guide students who are facing the difficult journey of going through the foster care system.
- Any high school senior who is a North Carolina resident may apply for this scholarship opportunity if they are currently in foster care or if they’re a ward of the state.
