Who Can Apply: The Walt Disney UNCF Enhanced Scholars Internship Program is providing both scholarships and internships to high-achieving underrepresented students across the country. This program offers career readiness tools to assist students in achieving their goals in the entertainment industry through experiential learning, internship and mentorship with The Walt Disney Company during the spring semester of the 2023-2024 academic year.
Program Goals:
The goals of The Walt Disney UNCF Internship Program are to help create a diverse pipeline of college-educated professionals poised to assume careers in the entertainment industry in a variety of business areas, and to help increase the number of underrepresented talent employed in the entertainment industry through the summer internship experience. Juniors selected will receive a scholarship up to $5,000 eligible for renewal during senior year and a potential opportunity for a paid-internship working directly with The Walt Disney Company during Summer 2024.
Eligibility Requirements:
- African American junior enrolled full-time at a four-year college or university
- Student must have a minimum cumulative 2.5 on a 4.0 scale
- Students must have an interest in pursuing a career at The Walt Disney Company
- Students must complete a 500 word essay outlining his/her career goals in the entertainment industry
- Students must be available for the full length of the 2024 summer internship, if offered.
