Who Can Apply: The UPS Scholarship provides 43 need-based awards, up to $4,000.00, to Black/African American graduating college seniors at UNCF Member Institutions & other accredited Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs).
- Must have a minimum cumulative 2.5 GPA on the 4.0 scale
- Must file a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
- Must have demonstrated unmet financial need, verified by the student’s college or university’s financial aid office
- Must be enrolled full-time at a UNCF member institution or other 4-year accredited HBCU
- Must be a U.S Citizen who is Black/African American
- Must be a graduating college senior
- Preference shall be given to students from Columbus, GA
Submission:
- Applicants must submit via UNCF’s online scholarship application portal by November 9, 2023. All parts of the application must be completed and submitted by the deadline
- One letter of recommendation from a non-family member
- Essay – Applicants must submit a one-page personal statement regarding the student’s career interests
- A recent official or unofficial academic transcript
