Who Can Apply:
- The Target Advancing Design Diversity Scholarship offers financial assistance to students who are accepted into 2 – or 4 – year colleges or universities in design area programs including, but not limited to: Apparel Design, Apparel Technical Design, Costume Design, Digital Arts and Design Fashion, Design Fashion, Product Development Footwear, Design Graphic, Design Illustration, Industrial Design, Interior Design, Packaging Design, Product Design, UX Design, Technical Design, Textile Arts, Textile Design/Surface/Fibers, Textile Sciences and Engineering Transportation, and Design Weaving Arts. The Scholarship’s goal is to help identify and support students who self-identify as a Black/African American and are majoring in design degree programs. The Target ADD scholarship is a need-based scholarship (to initially qualify; and merit-based for renewal scholarships) and you must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident to be considered.
- The applicants must be enrolled at an accredited 2-year or 4-year institution, as a college Freshman for the 2024-25 academic year. The incoming college Freshman must have at least a 2.50 GPA.
Submission:
1. File a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (“FAFSA”) and have a demonstrated unmet financial need, as verified by the applicant’s academic institution.
2. Submit an official or unofficial current academic transcript
3. Upload a photograph of an art sample.
