Who Can Apply:
- The Winston-Salem Forsyth County Schools is the fourth largest school system in North Carolina and the 81st largest school system in the United States. With their longstanding relationship with UNCF, the workplace campaign has provided invaluable scholarship support to well-deserved high school graduates.
- The scholarship candidates must be upcoming high school graduates in the Class of 2024 within the Winston-Salem Forsyth County School District. The applicants must be seeking enrollment or currently enrolled at any UNCF Member Institution or other four-year Historically Black College or University (HBCU) during the Fall 2024 Semester as a Freshmen. In addition, this scholarship will provide a preference for candidates, who will pursue a degree in the field of education. Upon the continual adherence with the program’s guidelines, the selected recipients will be eligible to receive the merit-based scholarship up to $7,500 for four years.
Submission: For full award consideration, students must complete the online application including a one-page essay. Candidates must also invite one reference to submit one recommendation online. The reference must be familiar with the student’s community service and involvement. In addition, the candidates will submit their recent transcript.
