Who Can Apply:
- To create a more representative and diverse workforce, it’s crucial that students are supported throughout their educational journeys. Lifting others up creates a better world for us all! This scholarship, funded and awarded by Hearts on Sleeves Coaching, seeks to support African American and Indigenous American students with big dreams for the future so they can afford to pursue higher education.
- As part of our commitment to holistic well-being, we also promote veganism as a path to a healthier lifestyle and a more sustainable planet.
- Any African American or Indigenous American, low-income high school senior or undergraduate student who has at least a 3.0 GPA may apply for this scholarship.
Submission:
- Compassion and understanding for the world around us are important! To apply, please write an essay that describes your personal journey with veganism and how it intersects with another social justice issue you are passionate about. Include specific experiences, challenges, and moments of growth that have shaped your views. How have these experiences impacted your everyday life and actions? Provide concrete examples and reflections to illustrate your story.
- Your essay should be between 500 and 1,000 words.
