Who Can Apply:
- Electric vehicles are the future of transportation, offering a myriad of environmental and convenience advantages.
- From the lack of tailpipe emissions to the benefits in air quality to the advantages of lower running costs, minimal maintenance needs, and access to HOV lanes, there are many reasons people may consider buying electric vehicles. While electric vehicles are becoming more common, in this transition period, some owners find there is a lack of mechanics and professionals qualified to work on their cars, especially in smaller towns where electric vehicles aren’t yet in wide use.
- This Wisconsin chapter of the Electric Vehicle Association is offering scholarships to support students who will devote their careers to designing, manufacturing, charging, and servicing electric vehicles.
- Any high school, college undergraduate, or trade school student who is a Wisconsin resident may apply. Preference will be given to those who demonstrate a financial need or who come from underserved areas.
Submission: To apply, tell us how this scholarship will enable you to pursue your studies in automotive and electrical technology, engineering, manufacturing, sales, installation, or maintenance in the electric vehicle sector. Additionally, upload an image of any electric car drive, built or worked on.
