Who Can Apply:
- It’s no secret that college costs have soared in recent years, with the price of tuition becoming a nearly insurmountable barrier for today’s students.
- Students from low-income families often receive little to no assistance from parents or relatives, both when it comes to application fees and the costs of tuition, necessary technology, and textbooks. Without help, students are often forced to take out loans, which can leave them in debt for decades due to high interest rates and low entry-level salaries.
- This scholarship aims to support students who have big dreams but don’t have the financial means necessary to pursue them.
- Any low-income, first-generation undergraduate student who is an underrepresented minority may apply for this scholarship opportunity if they are pursuing engineering, nursing, or education and if they are in Mississippi, Alabama, Florida, Tennessee, or Georgia.
