- Dr. Noelle Olson was a beloved daughter, family member, and friend who passed away suddenly in March of 2024.
- Noelle attended Big Lake High School and St. Olaf College, and then went on to obtain her PhD from the University of Minnesota. Noelle led a remarkable career and worked as a scientist at 3M prior to passing away. Many female students face obstacles when pursuing careers in science due to stereotypes, male-dominated classrooms, and having few female mentors to look up to.
- This scholarship seeks to honor the life and legacy of Dr. Noelle Olson by supporting the next generation of women pursuing STEM-related careers.
- Any female high school senior at Big Lake High School in Minnesota may apply for this scholarship opportunity if they plan to pursue a four-year degree in STEM.
