Who Can Apply:
- The Eric Johnston AthLEADers Leadership Scholarship honors the qualities Eric consistently represented: attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and effective communication. It recognizes a Liberty High School student-athlete who demonstrates that same strength of character both in and out of competition.
- The ideal applicant has a genuine passion for sports, demonstrates leadership through their actions, and shows a commitment to serving others through meaningful community service. This scholarship is for a dependable, motivated, and respectful student who puts in the work to make a positive impact on those around them — understanding that success in sports is about more than performance, but about the type of person and leader you become along the way.
Submission: To apply, you must be a graduating senior at Liberty High School with a minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA, sports experience, and completed community service hours. You’ll also need to submit two letters of recommendation from educators. Varsity letter recipients and students who have completed a leadership course such as Sports Leadership or Student Council are especially encouraged to apply.
