Who Can Apply:
- Michael James Mitrik was our beloved son who tragically passed away at the age of twenty-eight.
- Michael grew up in Oklahoma and started playing rec soccer at age 5 and competitive soccer at age 10. He was passionate about lifting up others around him both on and off the field. His soccer career culminated in winning back-to-back American Athletic Conference Championships while playing collegiate soccer for the University of Tulsa. His continuous drive for academic and athletic self-improvement produced skills and lessons which he applied in all other aspects of his life. His fondest memories were of the friends and teammates with whom he spent time on the soccer pitch.
- This scholarship seeks to honor the memory of Michael James Mitrik by supporting students who share his passion for soccer and learning.
- Any high school senior in Oklahoma who plays soccer and has at least a 3.0 GPA may apply for this scholarship opportunity.
