Who Can Apply:
- Students who are members of the Algerian-American or Palestinian-American communities have many things in common including historic struggles for liberation, justice and the dignity.
- Though this background can be difficult, it can also inspire greatness and motivate students to dedicate themselves to working for a better future for all. There is no one path for making a difference in the world or one specific career field in which to do so. Those who are motivated can channel their drive for change into nearly any profession.
- This scholarship aims to support students who plan to spend their lives changing the world for the better and working towards peace and justice.
- Any undergraduate or graduate student who is a first or second-generation Algerian or Palestinian immigrant studying journalism, communication, media, international law, government, and international relations, policy and political science, global leadership, teaching, civil society, or a related field may apply for this scholarship. Extra bonus points if they have a track record of working toward justice, peace, prosperity, and dignity for all around the world.
Submission: To apply, tell us about yourself, how you plan to make a difference through your work, how your experiences as an Algerian-American or Palestinian-American have influenced your beliefs and goals, and what major historical or current affairs you know about Algeria and/or Palestine.
