Who Can Apply: Kathleen (Kate) Crane (72-33 and 75-76) and Nicholas (Nick) Crane (77-78), studied for an academic year with IES Abroad Vienna, as did their brother, Christopher (Chris) Crane (71-73). Their father, a successful Wall Street investment manager, and their mother, who worked in post-World War II Germany for the Army Air Force, encouraged them all to study abroad. Their time in Vienna gave them a common international experience and broadened their worldview. It bound them together with classmates and Austrians, with whom they formed close friendships, corresponded, and shared adventures in different parts of the world over the past four decades.
