Who Can Apply:
- One of the best ways of staying in touch with one’s roots and cultures is by talking with older family members, neighbors, and other people in the community who have wisdom and stories to share.
- In addition to being amusing, these anecdotes and lessons can be valuable in the years to come as young people grow up, encounter challenges, and chart their own paths through higher education, the workforce, and beyond.
- This scholarship seeks to support students who are connected to the culture of their families and communities.
- Any high school student with at least a 3.0 GPA at Taos High School, Chrysalis Alternative, Penasco High School, Questa High School, Taos Academy, Taos Cyber Magnet, Raton High School or VIsta Grande High School in New Mexico may apply for this scholarship opportunity. Those planning to attend a New Mexico university are preferred.
