Who Can Apply: The WAI Washington State Chapter offers a $1,500 scholarship for STEM education in memory of Yukiko Howell. Yukiko taught math, science, and Japanese language for many years at Annie Wright School, a private school in Tacoma, Washington, and was an active chapter volunteer. STEM careers include but are not limited to science, engineering, air traffic controller, avionics technician, dispatch certification, aircraft mechanic, meteorologist, and STEM educator.
