Who Can Apply:
- As a star outfielder for the Baltimore Orioles, Austin Hays knows how difficult the road to achieving your dreams can be. It is littered with obstacles and challenges that you must face and overcome in order to ultimately achieve your goal. Lack of access to affordable higher education should not be one of those challenges. Unfortunately, however, rising educational expenses are preventing students with limited financial resources from accessing quality higher education.
- With that in mind, Austin teamed up with the Orioles and Bold.org to create the Austin Hays Scholarship, which supports Maryland students who need a helping hand, and ensure that they have the resources necessary to access a proper educational path.
- Any current low-income high school or college student residing in Maryland may apply for the Austin Hays Scholarship.
Submission: To apply, please write a short essay letting Austin know what dream or goal you hope to achieve and how you plan on making it come true.
