Scholarship Name: Dolphin Scholarship
Description: The Dolphin Scholarship Foundation was created in 1960 to honor the lives of submarine officers. With funds raised by the submarine officer’s wives, the foundation began to give college scholarships to former officers and their children. Today, the foundation awards more than 100 students, who are either former members of the United States Navy as submarine officers, or their children or stepchildren. Since the foundation was established, more than 1000 scholarships have been awarded. The $3,400 award I renewable for up to four years of study.

Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation
Scholarship Name: Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation
Description: Veterans of the Marine Corps and their dependents who demonstrate financial need are eligible for scholarships of up to $12,500 from the Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation. The average scholarship award is $3,000, and is only open to students with a 2.0 GPA and a family income of less than $80,000 per year. The Marine Corps Scholarship Fund also offers additional scholarships to veterans for Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom. The Foundation also encourages siblings to apply for the scholarship, and increases the income limit by $10,000 for each additional child applying.
