Scholarship Name: DeHaven Scholarships
Description: While not all aspiring chefs or culinary students start their careers by working in the campus dining hall, it might not be a bad idea. That’s because the National Association of College and University Food Services, the national organization of campus food workers, give scholarships to student workers every year, as well as holding contests that could result in more money to help pay for college. The DeHaven Scholarships are specifically set aside for students who are pursuing a degree that will prepare them for a food service career. The annual award of $5,000 is given to those students who have shown a commitment to food service through employment, academics and extracurricular activities. Students must maintain a 2.75 GPA to qualify for the award. The awards are distributed by region, with 1-3 awards being given in each of the Mid-Atlantic, Southern, Continental, Midwest, Pacific and Northeast regions.

Women Chefs and Restaurateurs
Scholarship Name: WCR Scholarship and Internship Program
Description: Women Chefs and Restaurateur is the leading organization for women in the restaurant industry in the country, and they have a number of ongoing programs to support women in their educational and professional development. The WCR Scholarship and Internship program provides more than $100,000 in scholarships to students each year, and places awardees in internships that can help them to gain the necessary professional skills that they need to succeed, in addition to the money that will help them pay for college. Scholarship awards and internship placements vary from year to year, but there is one $20,000 scholarship available annually to a truly outstanding students in the culinary arts or restaurant management.
