Description: If you are a serious chef-in-training, with interests in studying and research in the old world techniques and the newest modern cuisines, you should take a look at the Culinary Trust. The Culinary Trust supports studies for chefs and culinary experts in all walks of life, including scholarships for culinary and cooking school. The Culinary Trust has partnered with the leading culinary arts programs in the country (Cook Street School, Le Cordon Bleu and the Culinary Institute of America, among others) to provide program and certificate scholarships, and scholarships for culinary short-course and continuing education programs. Qualified applicants should not only have the drive to become a top chef, but hands-on experience through internships and apprenticeships.

You can also download a PDF version of the application, which lists all of the available scholarships. While there is an application fee of $35, you only need to fill out one online application to be eligible for all of the fifteen scholarships offered.

American Culinary Foundation
Scholarship Name: American Academy of Chefs Culinary Scholarships
Description: The honor society of the American Culinary Foundation, the American Academy of Chefs, is one of the few organizations that offers culinary scholarships not only to college students and professional chefs, but to high school students as well. In addition to general scholarships for culinary study, they offer institution-specific scholarships for the Culinary Institute of American and Johnson and Wales University. For high school students, students should apply if they have a 2.75 GPA and have already been accepted to a culinary or pastry arts program. They will receive awards after successful completion of the first semester. Current students are eligible to apply if they have a 2.5CPA and have completed on semester or trimester. All students should show a demonstrated interested in pursuing a career as a chef or pastry chef.
