Description: The Sutter Medical Network is a large system of hospitals and doctors in Northern California, which employs thousands of health care and administrative professionals in the area. If you are counted among them, or are the child, grandchild or dependent of an employee, you are eligible to apply for the Sutter Health Awards. The Sutter Medical Network awards more than 200 scholarships for college each year, which range from $1,000 to $3,000 through the Van R. Johnson Sutter Scholars Program. Mr. Johnson was the CEO of the Sutter Medical Network.

Scholarship Name: McCormick Scholarship Fund
Description: If your parent or guardian works at the McCormick Corporation (chances are you have some of their products in your pantry), it certainly pays to ask them about the company’s scholarship program…to the tune of up to $12,000 per semester. The generous scholarship program is offered to students who are outstanding members of their school communities. The scholarships committee (which is an independent group of evaluators, meaning your mom can’t be on it) looks for honors students, student with lots of volunteer activities, musicians, athletes….pretty much the cream of the crop. It’s also worth nothing that due to the large award, these scholarships are competitive, and that only a few are awarded each year.
