Scholarship Name: Summer Research Opportunities Program
Description: This is less of a scholarship, and more of a learning opportunity, but the Summer Research Opportunities Program is a high profile summer program that will put you ahead of the game in your college and professional career. Undergraduate students apply for the program, which features an intensive summer research experience and earns them experience and special consideration as they apply for graduate school. To be eligible, students should have completed at least 2 semesters of their undergraduate degree, have a 3.0 GPA and have a long-term goal of pursuing a PhD. Students participating in the program earn a stipend of up to $6,000, which is a hefty amount for a summer program. Students must be attending a CIC school to apply for the program. Asian Pacific Fund
Scholarship Name: Asian Pacific Fund Scholarships
Description: The Asian Pacific Fund is another organization that pairs with private donors to offer scholarships to students in all sorts of college pursuits. Their trademark scholarships focuses on San Francisco Bay Area students who are planning to attend community college in the area. Further, the scholarships specifically targets students who plan on making the transition to a four-year colleges and universities. Students must be enrolled full time and maintain a 3.0 GPA to qualify for the scholarship.
