Scholarship Name: Minority Scholarship Awards for College Students
Description: The American Institute of Chemical Engineers offers college scholarships to minority students who are members of the institute and who are interested in chemical engineering. Students must already be members for the AIChE in order to qualify for the award, which is made available through the Minority Affairs Committee within the AIChE Foundation. The institute offers to scholarships for minority students, the Scholarship Award for College Students, and the Scholarship Award for High School students. Applicants to the college student award should demonstrate financial need, have a solid academic record, and show leadership potential in extracurricular and professional activities related to chemical engineering. High school seniors who apply for AIChE scholarships will write an essay explaining why they choose to study chemical engineering, and their goals for the future.

American Society of Healthcare Executives (ASHE)
Scholarship Name: Albert W. Dent Graduate Student Scholarship & Foster G. McGaw Graduate Student Scholarship
Description: Students pursuing graduate degrees in healthcare should definitely check out the American Society of Healthcare Executives, which offers two major scholarships to minority students every year. The Arthur W. Dent Graduate Student scholarship is reserved for students in their final year of study for a healthcare management degree. Students should be enrolled in their graduate program full time, and demonstrate financial need. The Foster G. McGaw Graduate Student Scholarship is for first year students, and also looks for applicants who are enrolled full time and demonstrate financial need. Students who receive the Foster G. McGaw Graduate Student Scholarship in their first year are not eligible for the Albert W. Dent Graduate Student Scholarship in the their final year.
