Description: Here’s a fun and different kind of scholarship opportunity, sponsored by Bridgestone Tires. Make a short video related to either safe driving or automotive environmentalism, and then enter your video on the Safety Scholars website for a chance to win a $5,000 college scholarship. The winning video will also be broadcast nationwide as a public service announcement. The top three filmmakers each win a $5,000 college scholarship, while the ten finalists earn a new set of tires.

Sabertec
Scholarship Name: Blade Your Ride Scholarship Program
Description: Are you a student concerned about global climate issues? Do you believe that just one person can make a big difference through small changes? The Blade Your Ride Scholarship Program will award a total of $15,000 in scholarships to the three students with the best short video webcasts about the issue of global climate change and the potential for small changes to make a significant difference. Sponsored by Sabertec, the scholarship committee welcomes applicants who explore the potential of the Sabertec product, Blade, in their video webcasts. Applicants should submit a 1-2 minute video, along with their résumé, transcript and letter of recommendation.
Award: $5,000 – $15,000

Award is Open to: Applicants must be currently enrolled full-time in a Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree program at an accredited college or university and must maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
