Scholarship Name: A & F Business Consultants Annual Scholarship Awards
Description: Students from all majors and disciplines who have an opinion about the economy are invited to submit essays to the Abbott and Fenner Business Consultants. The main criteria for for the essay contest are that applicants have the desire and ambition to succeed. Essays should be between 500 and 1,000 words. Students must be between the ages of 16 and 30 to be eligible for the award.

Scholarship Name: James “Rhio” O’Connor Memorial Scholarship Fund
Description: Sponsored by Cancer Monthly, a monthly magazine highlighting the latest in cancer treatment results is an award in memory of James “Rhio” O’Connor, who use his own initiative to outlive his doctor’s initial prognosis. The essay contest asks that you put yourself in his shoes, and think about what you would do if diagnosed with cancer, and given a year to live. You should think about the kind of research you would do, where you would go for advice, etc. The scholarship committee is seeking applicants who share in James O’Connor’s energetic and persevering spirit.
