Scholarship Name: Partners in Education Scholarship (7/5/12 – Scholarship Discontinued)
Description: This scholarship sweepstakes is easy to enter,and can benefit you and your school. Land’s End awards $100,000 per year in $10,000 in student scholarships (which is put in a 529 savings plan for safe-keeping) as well as grants of $10,000 to corresponding schools. One winner will be chosen from schools in each size category (500+ students down to less than 100). You must be 18 to enter, but parents can enter for students of all ages. Just for entering, you also have the opportunity to win one of 100 Land’s End gift cards.

Globaltel Media
Scholarship Name: “Turned” Scholarship
Description: Globaltel Media, best known for mobile-to-internet software, has launched a scholarship program to reward students (under the age of 25) in creative pursuits. In conjunction with the release of the book Turned, which was written by high school student Jenna Cooper, Globaltel Media will grant six students with scholarships of $250 each. To apply for the scholarship, Globaltel Media asks that students submit a creative essay that analyzes some of the major themes in Turned. Essays should be less than 1,000 words long, and but be mailed to Globaltel Media for consideration.
