Description: In most parts of the country, Dunkin’ Donuts are about as ubiquitous as stoplights. But what if for every franchise that opened up near you, there was also an opportunity for some free money for college? Through the Dunkin’ Donuts Scholarship program, students in areas served by the coffee and donut shop can qualify for $2,000 college scholarships. You can use the scholarship website to find out if you live near a participating store. The Dunkin’ Donuts Scholarship is for “well-rounded” students. To qualify students have to demonstrate that they have participated in all aspects of high school – from work experience to community service. Students should also demonstrate a positive academic record, and have leadership experience in school activities. But the great thing about this scholarship is that while you should have experience in all these things, the scholarships are not necessarily reserved for the top in the class, or the one who the most impressive job. They are looking for average students who have made the most out of their high school experience.

Disneyland Resort
Scholarship Name: Disneyland Resort Scholarship Program
Description: Orange County, California is famous for quite a bit these days, and has spent most of it’s recent history in the reality television spotlight. But before the real housewives, Orange County was probably most famous for its theme park, or rather the theme park, Disneyland. Offering students in the area more than Mickey and the gang, the Disneyland Resort offers $3500 scholarships to Orange County high school students who are active in volunteer service. To qualify, students should have at least a 3.0 GPA and have accumulated at least 100 hours of volunteer work. Along with the application, students should submit a letter of recommendation from their volunteer supervisor, who must be from a nonprofit organization that directly serves the local community.
