Scholarship Name: Lowe’s Scholarships
Description: Lowe’s sponsors two non-renewable scholarships, with more than $600,000 in total awards. The first is the Lowe’s Scholarship, which awards 140 $2,500 scholarships to high school seniors with outstanding academic performance, leadership, community involvement and/or work experience. The second is the Carl Buchan Scholarship, which awards fifty $5,000 scholarships to high school seniors and current college undergraduates who are full or part-time Lowe’s employees. Like the Lowe’s Scholarship, winners of the Carl Buchan Scholarship are selected based on their academic performance, leadership, community involvement and/or work experience. To be eligible, you must have a minimum GPA of 3.25.

Scholarship Name: Toyota Community Scholars
Description: Toyota’s Community Scholars program annually provides 100 four-year college scholarships, valued at either $10,000 or $20,000, to recognize academic excellence, leadership and commitment to community service. High schools nationwide may each nominate one scholar per year for the scholarship program, which is administered by the Educational Testing Service.
