Scholarship Name: Humana Foundation Scholarship Program
Description: Humana is a major U.S. medical and life insurance company that is looking to give something back to its employees through college scholarships for their children and dependents. Students must be high school seniors or graduates under the age of 25 years old to be eligible. Parents or guardians must be employed by Humana companies for at least three continuous years to be eligible. Scholarships are renewable for up to four years of college or university, and students at both two-year colleges and four-year universities can apply. Students are evaluated based on their academic record, leadership and community service. The scholarship committee also considers any special circumstances like illness, family death, or other issue that might have affected high school performance. The scholarship program is very competitive, but students are encouraged to apply each year if they are not chosen the first time they apply.

Scholarship Name: Liberty Mutual Responsible Scholars
Description: How do you define responsibility? How do you practice this definition in your daily life? If your idea of responsibility involves commitment to community service and volunteering, Liberty Mutual wants to hear about it! Through the Liberty Mutual Responsible Scholars program, students who are currently in college and are using their free time to support programs that serve the camps community. Service can be just about anything; past recipients have organized breast cancer awareness walks, performed outreach in Tanzania, even formed their own nonprofit organizations. In addition to these types of activities, Liberty Mutual asks scholarship applicants to submit an essay detailing their idea of “responsibility” and how it relates to their community service activities. Eligible applicants must be enrolled in school full time and have at least a 3.0 GPA.
