AmerisourceBergen
Scholarship Name: AmerisourceBergen and Good Neighbor Pharmacy Scholarships
Description: AmerisourceBergen is one of those Fortune 500 companies that probably isn’t a household name. In fact, you’d be hard pressed to find someone who really knows much about what the company does. However AmerisourceBergen, as one of the largest pharmaceutical companies in the country, is probably much more a part of your daily life than you think. They also offer two very different types of scholarships to high school and college students in the community. The first is one that you can’t really apply for; as part of the National Merit Scholarship program, AmerisourceBergen sponsors a number of National Merit Scholarships at select schools. In addition, in order to advance good pharmacy practices, AmerisourceBergen has teamed up with Good Neighbor Pharmacy to offer community scholarships to pharmacy students. The program is available in more than 12 universities nationwide, and cover everything from undergraduate study, PharmD and internship programs, depending on the partnership.
