Scholarship Name: L. Gordon Bittle Memorial Scholarship for the Student California Teachers Association
Description: The Student California Teachers Association (SCTA) awards a number of small scholarships (between $200 and $500) to young aspiring-teachers in the state of California. The L. Gordon Bittle Memorial Scholarship is its largest award, and is reserved for the best and the brightest in future educators. Students can be enrolled in an undergraduate, graduate or teachers certification program, and must have at least a 3.5 grade point average. Part-time students are not eligible for the award. In addition to academic achievement, students interested in the education scholarship should be involved in community activities, and have strong letters of recommendation from professors.
Award: $3,000

Golden Key International Honor Society
Scholarship Name: Education Achievement Awards
Description: The Golden Key Honor International Society believes in “rewarding its members for their academic, leadership and service excellence.” Among the many scholarships for college that the honor society offers, for students studying everything from engineering to international relations is the Education Achievement Awards. The award recognizes outstanding research work (in the form of a paper or report) in the field of education. The paper should be 10 pages long. International students involved in Golden Key are welcome to apply for this education scholarship.
Award: $1,000 – $2,000
