Scholarship Name: Coastal Carolina University Scholarship
Description: If you are a Marine Science student at Coastal Carolina University, you could earn up to $1,000 in free money for college through the Grand Strand Water Anglers Association. This scholarship is for students with at least a 3.0 GPA who have been recommended by someone in the Marine Science Department. The $1,000 award is contingent upon the student maintaining the 3.0 GPA, and students can apply to have the scholarship renewed each year for up to four years.

Scholarship Name: Arnold Magoon Conservation Scholarship
Description: Named for a former Vermont Game Warden, the Arnold Magoon Conservation Scholarship is awarded each year to students in one of the following majors: Forestry, Conservation, Ecology, Fish & Game Management or Biology. While preference is given to relatives of a current or former Vermont Game Warden, if none apply students who are attending school in Vermont and/or demonstrate financial need are also welcome to apply. The scholarship is given in memory of Arnold Magoon, who was tragically killed in the line of duty while trying to apprehend a deer poacher. The scholarship committee is looking for candidates who show a commitment not only to the environment, but have demonstrated a commitment to the community.
