Scholarship Name: Women in Film Foundation Scholarship
Description: Few organizations devoted to film and television studies have the expansive reach and network of Women in Film. Women in Film Foundation was created to use these connections and support within the film industry to offer women the opportunity to find ways to pay for undergraduate and advanced film and television degrees. Awards are given in the following areas: Screenwriting, Directing and Editing, Cinematography. They also have a number of awards set aside for women who attend specific programs in Los Angeles, and around the country. Students are chosen for award consideration by their film and television departments, based on their academic merit, financial need and artistic accomplishments.

Scholarship Name: Film and Television Scholarship
Description: The Charles and Lucille King Foundation offers a general scholarship to undergraduate students majoring in film or television studies. Scholarship awards from the King Foundation are merit-based, and particular emphasis is placed on past awards and activities relating to pursuing your film and television career, so if you’ve had an internship, or even volunteer experience in film or television be sure to include it (in detail) on your application. The King Foundation will also take into account your financial need, so be thoughtful about how you plan to pay for college as you complete the application as well.
