Scholarship Name: Collegiate Inventors Competition
Description: Are you a collegiate inventor? The Collegiate Inventors Competition is looking for original ideas and work products created by a student or team of students together with his or her university advisor. Applicants must submit a written entry describing the invention, literature/patent research, and a letter from your academic advisor. Up to twelve finalists (individuals or teams) will be awarded $2,000 plus an all-expense paid trip in the fall of 2009 to present their work to a panel of expert judges. The grand prize winner will win $25,000; an additional two teams – one undergraduate and one graduate – will receive $15,000.

Scholarship Name: Xerox Technical Minority Scholarship Program
Description: To demonstrate its commitment to the academic success of minority students and the cultivation of minorities in technical fields, Xerox is offering scholarships to cover students’ balance of tuition. Qualified applicants must be U.S. citizens with a minimum 3.0 GPA. Students may undergraduate or graduate, majoring in chemistry, information management, software systems, material science, printing management science, laser optics, or physics.
