Description: The Dr. Randy Pausch Scholarship, established by the Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences, awards four $2,500 scholarships to students attending accredited universities. The scholarship honors Dr. Pausch, who was a professor of computer science, human-computer interaction and design at Carnegie Mellon University and spent sabbaticals designing user interface technologies at companies like Walt Disney Imagineering and Google. Qualified scholarship applicants must be planning to pursue a career in game design, development or production; be enrolled full-time in an accredited college or university (high school seniors are not eligible); and have a minimum GPA of 3.3.

Description: The Entertainment Software Association (ESA) annually offers $3,000 scholarships to women and minority students who are pursuing degrees in Computer & Video Game Arts. This year, the ESA Foundation has doubled the number of awards to 30 by opening up a new opportunity for high school seniors. Scholarships are available to student enrolled in a full-time course of study at an accredited four-year colleges or universities.
