Scholarship Name: The Thomas R. Pickering Foreign Affairs Undergraduate Fellowship
Description: The Thomas R. Pickering Fellowship is a highly-coveted scholarship for undergraduate students who are interested in pursuing a career in the Foreign Service. Co-sponsored by the state department, the scholarship is worth up to $50,000, and will cover both tuition and living expenses. Students do not have to major in International Affairs to qualify for the fellowship; policy, business and management majors are also eligible, as long as they plan to apply their degree to a career in the State Department after graduation. In some cases, the fellowship can also be applied to graduate study.

Organization of Women in International Trade
Scholarship Name: Women in International Trade Scholarship Program
Description: The Organization of Women in International Trade is a national organization , with chapters in the United States, Canada, Asia and Europe. Local chapters, like the WIT-LA in Los Angeles, make scholarships of $1,500 available to both men and women who are looking to pursue careers in international trade, including import/export, business, economics, law, or political science with an international focus or emphasis. The organization sponsors three separate awards named for prominent women in international trade. In additional to an interest in international affairs, students should be in good academic standing with a G.P.A. of at least 3.0, and should be active in extra-curricular activities, particularly in leadership roles.
