Scholarship Name: AgStar Fund for Rural America Scholars Program
Description: The AgStar Fund for Rural America Scholars Program, which is part of AgStar’s extensive grants program, is more than just a college scholarship for future farmers. The
program gives scholarship recipients the opportunity to attend an orientation with other scholars, attend guest lectures, complete a research project relating to agriculture and business, and also gives them the first opportunity to apply for internships with AgStar. The $2,000 is for students who are from rural areas of Minnesota and Wisconsin who are looking to pursue careers in the agricultural sciences.

Scholarship Name: Equity Cooperative Livestock Sales Association Scholarship
Description: Students whose parents are active members of the Equity Cooperative Livestock Sales Association are eligible to apply for one of 10 $500 cash scholarships through
Equity Cooperative’s annual scholarship program. The scholarship program recognizes young people who have completed two semesters of post-secondary education, be it at a four-year university, community or vocational college, and are pursuing degrees in the agricultural sciences, or who plan on pursuing careers in other related fields (like education or veterinary science). Scholarship recipients are chosen by district, and one student from each other Equity Cooperative districts will win the award each year.
