Description: The American Ranch Horse Association is offering a $500 academic-based scholarship for the 2010-2011 school year to its youth members. Applicants must be current ARHA members, in good standing. Applicants must submit current school transcripts, a letter of recommendation from their principal, adviser or faculty member, a second letter of recommendation a club officer or board member of the local ARHA club; and a brief essay indicating the importance of higher education, career goals and scholarship need.

AgCountry Farm Credit Services
Scholarship Name: AGCountry Farm Credit Services Scholarship Program
Description: While there are many different types of college scholarships available to students, you don’t see too many that cater to the students living in middle America, who live on the farms and ranches that keep America fed. But children of farming and ranching families can benefit from AgCountry Farm Credit Services’ annual scholarship for students living in Minnesota and South Dakota. Each year, the credit company awards 24 scholarships to graduating seniors. While the study of farming and agricultural sciences is not required, scholarship recipients will be chosen based on their commitment to continuing their family vocation, as well as academic record and leadership.
