Scholarship Name: Science, Mathematics and Research for Transformation (SMART) Scholarship for Service Program
Description: Established by the Department of Defense to promote study in the STEM areas (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics), the SMART Scholarship offer full tuition (plus a book allowance!) to undergraduate and graduate students in the United States. In addition to the scholarship funds, there are also employment opportunities available within the Department of Defense. The goal of the program is to increase the number of non-military people pursuing careers at the Department of Defense, so if you apply you should have the desire to work at on the Department of Defense sponsoring facilities across the country, which include all branches of the Armed Forces.
