Scholarship Name: Allied Healthcare Scholarship
Description: Students pursuing health professions that aren’t medical doctors or nursing have a great opportunity to earn up to $4,500 for college from the Health Professions Education Foundation. Priority is given to the areas of study listed below, but if you are in another health-related program you might also qualify. Scholarship recipients are required to perform 100-150 hours of health-related community service throughout the year in which they receive the scholarship. Volunteer work is performed in under-served areas of California.

Scholarship Name: Bill Kane Scholarship
Description: Undergraduate students studying any of the health sciences can apply for $1,000 from the American Alliance for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance. Students’ long-term goal should be to become a health educator, and you will submit an essay about your goals as part of your application. Students are further required to maintain at least a 3.25 GPA. The Bill Kane Scholarship is a one-time award, and previous recipients cannot re-apply. If you are a graduate student looking for health science scholarships, the American Alliance for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance also offers the Barbara A. Cooley scholarship for Master’s students.
