To address this issue, specifically for those students who plan to pursue careers in the Los Angeles area, QueensCare initiated the Gene and Marilyn Nuziard Scholarship, in honor of former board members. QueensCare is committed to providing healthcare to Los Angeles’ under served community, and to that end offers scholarships of up to $9,000 for each year of a four year undergraduate degree. Part-time students are also eligible for smaller awards. Priority is placed on students pursuing Physicians Assistant, Nursing, Medical and Physician Specialist degrees.
