Scholarship Name: CCNMA: Latino Journalists of California Scholarships
Description: The mission of the California Chicano News Media Association and it’s sub-group Latino Journalists of California, is to promote diversity in the field of journalism through encouraging young Latino and Hispanic students to pursue careers in journalism by entering higher education programs. Students can be of any declared major, but must show an interest in journalism through activities either at school or in the community. Eligible students should be enrolled full-time, have a solid academic record and show financial need. The CCNMA also facilitates a number of other scholarships and fellowships in conjunction with local foundations and news companies.

Broadcast Education Association (BEA)
Scholarship Name: BEA National Scholarships Program
Description: The Broadcast Education Association was created by broadcast professionals to provide resources to the next generation of professionals in the field. The BEA further maintains a number of state chapters, and networks universities and colleges (both two-year and four-year) that have broadcast journalism departments. Through the National Scholarship program, the BEA provides a large number of substantial broadcasting scholarships for college, with awards of up to $5,000. Of the eight scholarship opportunities, four are reserved for undergraduates at four-year programs, and four are reserved for undergraduates attending two-year broadcasting programs. All awards require that students attend a BEA institutional member college or university.
