Scholarship Name: Marjorie Stonehill English, Journalism and Creative Arts
Description: For local residents of Boone County, Indiana, who are interested in the creative arts and journalism should check out the Community Foundation of Boone County, which offers small scholarships to graduating high school seniors each year. Named for Marjorie Stonehill, who was fortunate to have a number of scholarships to help her pay for college, the scholarship is reserved for students in the top 30% of their class, or those who have at least a 3.0 GPA. Students are required to write an essay as part of the application process.

Scholarship Name: Literary Achievement Awards
Description: Golden Key Honor Society members around the world who have a knack for writing can take advantage of one of Golden Key’s many scholarship awards. The Literary Achievement Awards ask students to submit original work (of up to $1,500) for consideration for scholarship awards in the following categories: news writing, poetry, fiction and non-fiction. Students can submit more than one work for consideration, but can only submit one per category. Winners will receive $1,000 to use towards a degree-granting, undergraduate, graduate or post-graduate program.
